Michael was called to Ordained Ministry when he was 7 years old. (If you have a half hour - or more - to spare, ask him about it!)

The Rev. Michael Bittle was awarded the Master of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, undergraduate degrees from the University of Ottawa, Master of Divinity and Bachelor of Theology degrees from Andersonville Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing (slowly) a Doctor of Ministry degree at Northwestern University (dissertation on the Book of Job). Michael is an Ordained Christian Minister of the Evangelical Christian Church in Canada (Christian Disciples).

He is one of the most sought-after Wedding Officiants in the Hamilton area and performs over 50 weddings a year. As far as he knows, not a single couple he has married has ever gotten divorced. So, if you ask Michael to perform your wedding - you had better be serious about "'til death do us part".

Michael is married to Nancy (for 40+ years), with three adult children.

Michael sees his ministry to include making sure that everyone is relaxed and enjoys the service - especially the bride and groom! He does not use weddings to 'convert' anyone to his beliefs but does require that God be invited into the marriage. Otherwise, why ask a Christian minister to be involved with your ceremony? Many of his brides and grooms do not attend church services on a regular basis. He hopes that will change once they start having children.

One thing that Michael does insist on for ALL wedding services is that we have fun! If you're looking for an uptight minister, Michael is definitely not the person to call.
