Michael has enjoyed the privilege of officiating at weddings in many special locations over the years - parks, marinas, tour boats, homes, restaurants, backyards - but few have been more memorable than the 2008 wedding of Leah and Dante Aleman at the House of Frankenstein in Niagara Falls, ON.
He has performed weddings just about everywhere in southern Ontario.
Contact Michael to discuss your location; chances are that he has performed a wedding there and can offer the voice of experience to your planning. Or if you are still looking for a venue, ask him about special locations that he knows.

What LOCATION would you like for your wedding?
- You may choose a romantic location, like the place you first met, or the chapel where your parents were married.
- Or maybe you’ve always dreamed of getting married outside, like in your friend’s backyard, in a park, in a public garden, or at the waterfront.
- Or how about at a glamorous location like a banquet hall or hotel, with all the beautiful decorations.
- What about in a meaningful location, like in your own home, surrounded by your children.
- Or you may decide on a location that is convenient for your friends and family, like an airport hotel, or a well-situated restaurant.
- You can even choose to get married in a really unusual location, like the Frankenstein House of Horror!
After you’ve made your decision, check with your desired location to see if it is available. And then check with Michael to see if he is available. Or ask him for some suggestions!
WHO you will need for your wedding?
You will require 2 "official witnesses".
These witnesses are simply witnessing your willing declaration to be married - they do not have to know you. We can provide 2 witnesses if required.
And of course, you'll need a bride and a groom !
However, wedding attendants are optional – you do not need to have bridesmaids or groomsmen.
If you need an interpreter, because English is not spoken by either the bride or the groom, that’s okay. Michael can marry you through an interpreter. Just let him know in advance, when you book your wedding with him.
WHAT would you like your wedding to include?
TYPE OF CEREMONY: You can have the type of ceremony you prefer. Michael serves virtually every type of couple from atheists to purely spiritual (non-religious) to very religious Roman Catholics and everything in between including non-denominational, interfaith and multicultural.
RELIGION: Religion is not required at your wedding – the choice is yours. It is also perfectly okay to incorporate any Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Hindu, Spiritual, Non-Denominational, Jewish, or other religious traditions you feel comfortable with.
TRADITIONS: Feel free to center your wedding around any special traditions or themes your family or your culture has.
RINGS: Legally, rings are not required – they are at the discretion of the bride and groom. But Michael thinks they ARE a good idea.
DRESS: any attire can work. It is fine for the bride or the groom to wear a traditional or modern garment of their choice. Michael hasn't yet performed a nudist wedding (but he is looking forward to it).
MUSIC: Music is optional. Time can be allocated in your ceremony for a soloist if you so choose. You can also use a CD player or sound system for background or special music. (Or Michael can simply hum very loudly!)
FLOWERS and DECORATIONS: Optional: You can plan these in accordance with the location that you have chosen.
VIDEO & PHOTOGRAPHY – Your friends, family, and professional photographer are allowed to take pictures, according to the instructions given by you, the bride and groom. Some people prefer to have several visual accounts of the ceremony taken by friends and family; however, other people prefer to allow only a few pictures to be taken during this special time by a professional. The choice is yours.
PRE-WEDDING INTERVIEW with Michael: Optional. You can arrange this when you book your wedding time with him. No extra charge (within reasonable driving distance.) Michael does like face-to-face meetings; he thinks they are more fun than Zoom.
WEDDING REHEARSAL: Optional. You can arrange this when you book your wedding time with him.
What about your VOWS? What will you say? Other than the legal requirement that you have to state you take the other person as your lawful wedded spouse, the wording of your vows is completely up to you. If you would like suggestions for writing your own, personal vows, Michael is happy to help.
